Once More Unto The Leith, Dear Friends...
135km ridden alone on Saturday. The first half involved battling a brutal headwind all the way to Gatwick, and the second half had all the climbing.
Main climbs were Leith Hill, White Downs (twice!), Staples Lane (the 'other' climb from the Olympic road race) and Box Hill.
1,850m climbed in lots of short, steep bursts. Think I'm ready for the Tour of Wessex.
Feeling very lethargic, so may have a few days off the bike. I have Tom's stag-do this weekend, which will kybosh the training. Not ideal, but then we went to Vegas for a few days during his training for the etape in 2008, so it can't be too bad.
