Reconnaissance
The nice people at Velo101 and Mavic have produced a recce video of the etape route.

Also, the Tour climbs have been categorised, with Mont Revard being Cat 1 and Annecy Semnoz receiving an HC category.
Throw in 1 Cat 2 climb and 3 Cat 3's and it all adds up to a lot of climbing. But then we already knew that!
Interesting video. Having ridden the route, the video flattens out the climbs. They state that Semnoz averages out at 8.3% but the majority of it sees 10-14%. It is tough, but you just keep turning your pedals over !!!
